I’m seeing too many cooperation let’s cause some chaos!
Let’s hear some controversial statements about the Fallout series! (Excluding Vegas because almost every thread is full of Vegas I wanna see some Fallout 3 or 4 opinions!)
I’m somewhat new to Fallout as 4 being my first game. I started playing about 2-3 years ago. I’ve heard through a lot of research that Fallout 4 isn’t greatly liked amongst the original fans. Why is that?
I’ve reached the watershed to repair the pump and have been faced with two problems:
1: I don't know how I am supposed to kill all these super mutants when one non-critical shot from just Harry’s flamethrower eats up 34 of my 54 hit points. I also don’t have anymore armor; I traded the leather jackets and the combat armor for supplies.
2: I am trying to make this playthrough as “canon” as possible and that means Ian has to die by Barry’s flamer. How do I orchestrate his death? (This is also why I can’t go join the Brotherhood and get myself a suit of power armor and a minigun to fight the mutants.)

Going to play it once I’m done with New Vegas. Going to be the first time in 6 years since I’ve played it, this time with all the DLCs (as long as I didn’t already use the code). I’ll post updates in comments
In the Vault Dweller’s memoirs, he mentions doing something terrible in Junktown that he feels no remorse for. Beyond that, no further information is provided, so what might have he done exactly?
There’s a few characters I’ve met in the modern FO games that have made me feel there was a missed opportunity, not only to make a great companion, but perhaps to also enhance the plot of the game in some cases.
The ones that stand out to me (spoilers ahead):
Herbert “Daring” Dashwood (FO3)
A hidden gem in a game full of them. You’re likely to hear the radio show about his adventures before you ever meet him in Tenpenny Tower. If you time it right, he has some great dialogue. Would have been so much fun for a high karma playthrough, to travel with Dashwood as a mentor to the Lone Wanderer.
Scribe Haylen (FO4)
Perhaps the biggest problem with a BoS playthrough is that once the Danse drama is concluded, you’re without a faction companion. I think the whole plot would’ve worked better if Haylen was the companion; growing close to her and learning of her love and respect for Danse - plus the risk of losing her as an ally - would’ve added another dimension to the task. Plus, let’s be honest, there are only three romanceable female companions, and only one is neither a robot nor an addict. Options!
Antony (FONV)
Everyone knows Legion playthroughs are nerfed, partly due to the lack of a faction companion (side comment: Raul is a great choice if you need one). Whenever the discussion is had, Vulpes is generally the guy everyone mentions, but I think Antony would’ve been much more fun. He’s just so darn enthused. Traveling with him and Rex for a Legion run could have been great (highly immoral) fun.
What do you think about these choices? Have any of your own?

So I bought the Vault holodisc from the librarian lady at the Hub to find the water chip. She said I need to scan it on my Pip-Boy or something, but I don’t know how, anyone can tell me?
Also, I’m running low on caps after paying the water merchants and this lady, and I’ve already traded the combat armor taken from the Khans… what do I do??? I’m not very short on supplies, but soon enough I will be. I plan on getting the backpack from Necropolis, but if it’s worth a fair amount then I might sell it.
Me and Ian arrived in Junktown. We talked to Killian and this guy came in and tried to assassinate him, but me, Killian, Ian, Dogmeat, and the guards fucked him up. Now we will go make Gizmo confess himself. The music here is really creepy, and it kind of feels out of place IMO. I think its the same soundtrack in Vault 34. It sounds like the typical music in those “3 Scary True Horror Stories” kinda videos.
Anyways, either I have not leveled up yet or I have but I somehow missed it, so is this normal or should I be concerned?
Petition to make it so i can pet hte funny robot dog
Just finished my re-watch of season 1, which revealed a lot of things I didn’t pick up on the first time. I’ll leave some space now to be kind to those who don’t want spoilers
Thaddeus’s ghoulification is poetic justice. Although all brotherhood are bigoted against mutated humanoids, he is the one who seems to have the strongest opinions about it
Lucy’s lecture to Maximus about how destroying a whole community in the name of self preservation would break her father’s heart. Hits a little different the second time, no?
On the outskirts of Filly, the snake oil salesman tries to sell Dr Wilzig a concoction that can supposedly regenerate a human foot. The first time around it sounds ridiculous. Turns out the creepy doctor didn’t have to die after all!
The Vault Tec secretary who introduces Cooper to Hank is Betty. I realize this was right in front of me the first time around, but I was distracted by all the larger reveals going on
Have any of you watched again? What did you find?
I scavenged all the supplies and equipment I could from Shady Sands and Vault 15 to attack the Khans. The attack took a few tries and I ended up going in and lobbing two grenades at Death-Hand, killing him and a few of his cronies. We retreated to the back of the building and killed some more raiders, where we looted their gear. After that, we went back to the front and took down about seven(?) Khans. The last two or three almost killed me so I had to run away while Ian beat them to death each turn. I used some stimpaks that Ian had on him by default and we killed three more Khans. We freed Tandi, looted the bodies, killed another Khan we missed, and will soon return to Shady Sands.
Anyways, I saw on here that combat armor is worth 6.5K per one set, so if I sell them to NPCs in town, will they have limited caps or can I sell all this gear right away?
I just watched the full series of fallout and im ready for any questions of anyone
Dont give any spoilers just tell me if it’s worth even recgognizing at fallout let alone watching

Like does video games and consoles exist i really want to know if no then it's a good thing the bombs dropped because i don't want a world without video games
I resolved the ammo shortage in Vault 15. I found some more ammo and an 10mm SMG. I keep missing the majority of my shots while Ian rarely (if ever) misses, so I gave the remainder of my ammunition and the machine gun to him. However, while Ian is strengthened, I am forced to use a knife in combat, so if anyone could tell me where to find more ammo for my pistol then that'd be great. Better yet, when should I replace the pistol?
